chapter 6
sundered bonds
As the first light of dawn began to paint the horizon a soft orange, a cloaked figure trudged along the shallow riverbank. The figureâs clothing was so dark it was difficult to discern their shape in the shadows of early morning. They carried a bucket in one hand and fishing rods in another.
The figure stopped in his tracks glancing over at the edge of the water. Hakana's body laid motionless in the early morning fog. The hooded figure quickly dropped his tackle and rushed over beside. Kneeling over Hakana, Iron Money's brow furrowed as he examines the injuries. He slowly focuses on each shallow breath and pale complexion, looking closely for any signs of life in the still body.
Iron Monkey was a seasoned warrior, with scars etched on his rugged face and calloused gorilla-like hands that had seen countless battles. He had a wild, ape-like appearance, with his dark charcoal fur and deep gray eyes. His two swords secured on his side.
Despite his fearsome appearance, Iron Monkey's heart was pure gold, and he possessed a deep well of compassion that extended to all those who sought refuge within their sanctuary. He had been through countless adversities, and each had only strengthened his resolve.
As he examined Hakana's lifeless body, his keen senses remained on high alert. Iron Monkey's instincts were finely honed, a result of years spent navigating the treacherous paths of war and survival. He scanned the area, searching for any signs of danger, for he knew that their camp was a fragile oasis in a world overrun by wickedness.
Iron Monkey scooped up the injured monk and began the arduous journey back to their camp, hidden behind the roaring waterfall, far from the prying eyes of Sifu's minions.
The camp, nestled amidst the lush greenery, had become a sanctuary for those who had escaped the clutches of tyranny.
Iron Monkey strides with purpose, his broad shoulders carrying a still form, drawing all the eyes of the camp to him. People on either side of him stopped and watched, standing still in silence as he slowly passed by them. He was a towering figure, with his two swords clanging against his back and charcoal fur rustling in the wind. His grizzled face is set in determination as he walks towards the medicine hut.
Standing up as she sees Iron Monkey pass by, Hana Kimura shadows Iron Monkey, her gaze alertly scanning the area for any sign of danger.
Hana Kimura, the immortal female samurai, possessed an ethereal beauty that transcended the boundaries of time. Hana's almond-shaped eyes, deep and mysterious, held the wisdom of ages, reflecting the indomitable spirit that resided within her.
Her hair, bright red, flowed around her face in soft waves and highlighted her exquisite features. Yet, beneath that delicate exterior, there was an unmistakable intensity in her gaze, a fire that spoke of countless battles and the resilience of a warrior who had faced the ebb and flow of centuries. In addition to her physical attributes, Hana Kimura's ability to tap into her deepest part of her chi allowed her to command powerful spells.
